Food Truck Friday returns to Moncus Park on November 6, offering a relaxed way to turn lunch into a small Friday outing.

Local food trucks will serve from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the park, located at 2913 Johnston Street.

The setup includes shaded seating, fans, yard games and a children’s area, so coworkers, families and solo lunch-break visitors can stay awhile instead of eating in the car.

The truck lineup is announced Friday morning on the park’s Facebook page, which makes a quick same-day check worthwhile before choosing lunch.

Find event updates on the official Moncus Park event page.

Admission to the program is free, while park parking is listed at $2 per hour.

Bring a friend, arrive hungry and consider staying for a walk after lunch.

Food trucks, shade and a walk through the park sounds like a much better Friday lunch than eating at my desk.
