Holiday shopping gets an early start when the Lafayette Nutcracker Market returns Saturday, November 7, to the Cajundome Convention Center.

The one-day market runs from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with boutique clothing, seasonal décor, jewelry, gourmet foods and gift ideas gathered under one roof.

It is designed for shoppers who want to knock out part of their list before the December rush—or simply enjoy a festive browse with friends.

Teachers, military members and first responders receive complimentary admission with valid identification, and guests under age 15 are also admitted at no charge.

Review admission details through the Cajundome event page, then use the official ticket link there if your group needs paid admission.

Arrive early for the widest selection, wear comfortable shoes and leave room in the car for the finds that were not on your list.

I’m going early for the décor and gourmet gifts. Comfortable shoes and trunk space are excellent advice.

This sounds like an easy way to start holiday shopping without driving all over town. The complimentary admission details are helpful too.
