Looking for a four-legged companion to add to the family? Missy is waiting to meet you at the Lafayette Animal Shelter & Care Center.

Missy is a 1-year-old female Terrier weighing about 42 pounds. With her striking black-and-tan coat, expressive face, and youthful age, she’s an eye-catching pup who could be a wonderful match for someone ready to welcome a young dog into their home. Because Missy is still young, her new family will have plenty of opportunities to build a routine, work on training, and create lasting memories together.

Missy is currently located in Kennel #11 at the shelter, and her Pet ID is 120581. Her adoption fee is just $35, making now a great time to consider giving a local shelter pet a fresh start.

The Lafayette Animal Shelter & Care Center works to protect animals throughout Lafayette Parish while promoting responsible pet ownership and humane care. Every adoption also helps create space and resources for another animal in need.

Interested in meeting Missy? Visit the shelter at 410 N. Dugas Road in Lafayette or call 337-291-5644 for current adoption information and availability.

Missy may just be the new best friend you’ve been waiting for.
