Small Business Success Center Takes Shape in North Lafayette |
Holy Rosary campus project will bring business guidance closer to local entrepreneurs |

North Lafayette’s historic Holy Rosary campus is preparing for a new chapter: helping entrepreneurs build their businesses.
Developing Lafayette reports that an October 13 groundbreaking marked the planned $5.9 million Small Business Success Center, an 8,600-square-foot LEDA project near Louisiana Avenue and Carmel Drive.
The facility will house counseling offices and training space, with services covering business planning, financial literacy and connections to potential funding.
Its intended audience includes small-business owners, sole proprietors and people with side businesses.
Planned anchor tenant upLFT Capital Access is pursuing CDFI status to expand financing options; that designation is not yet secured.
The project also anticipates youth entrepreneurship programming.
The groundbreaking does not mean the center is open: construction is expected to start in December 2026 or January 2027 and take roughly a year.
For now, follow project updates and contact LEDA about existing business assistance rather than waiting for the new building.
